    THANK YOU! You saved me hours of headaches.

    I have been setting up phpmyadmin in a docker container using the dockSTARTer repo (which sets certain variables to defaults that play well with all other containers in that repo) and got this error on the first test of the web interface. This was on the 2nd page of Google and it solved my problem instantly.

    Specifically for dockSTARTer:
    ~ docker exec -it phpmyadmin bash
    > chmod 1777 sessions
